Children’s Ministry

House of the Rock Church was founded on youth and children’s ministry, so raising up the next generation is very close to our heart. Our passion is for children to hear the Gospel, really know Jesus and enter into a personal relationship with Him.

We see our vision as being threefold – for children to connect with God, have lots of fun, and enjoy great fellowship with each other too. We believe a vibrant, enthusiastic and dynamic children’s program is essential to the life of a healthy church.

Our children’s leaders are all encouraging and committed. They hold current Working with Children Checks, and offer the children a safe, caring and nurturing environment.

At kid’s church we cater for children between the ages of 3 – 12 years of age, or through to the end of primary school. Children younger than 3 years are welcome to come out to our kid’s room, use the toys and equipment, and join us for morning tea with parental supervision. We offer an allergy safe morning tea, catering for children with gluten, nut, egg, dairy and other allergies.

Our main program uses a Bible based DVD curriculum as a foundation, and incorporates games, activities and crafts as well. We also use the playground at the school next door, for supervised outdoor play if the weather permits. Our program operates for the last hour of the church service, giving children the opportunity to enjoy worship and communion with their families before coming out to kid’s church.

In fourth term every year we begin rehearsals for our annual Christmas play/musical extravaganza, which is a highlight of the year for children, parents and the church congregation as a whole.

We look forward to meeting you and your children, and having the opportunity to serve both you and the Lord through our children’s ministry.

GATHER GLEAN GROW

Hi Sisters

We have been having so much fun in “Jesus, the One and Only” that another year has nearly passed as we have gathered, gleaned and grown. Beth Moore’s passion and love for The Word has been such a blessing to us. Dates for the rest of 2016 are as follows:

  • 4 th November : Colour Conference DVD
  • 18th November : Colour Conference DVD
  • 2 nd December : Our Party!

Remember, we meet every second Friday at 10.15am and our sessions run until approximately midday.

Love and blessings Beth, Sally and Indira

Small Groups

Small Groups are the best way for followers of Christ to connect more intimately with each other than is possible
in a formal church worship service. By meeting regularly, we get to share in each other’s joys, celebrations and
sadnesses. Support, both practical and spiritual, can be offered and the journey of life is enriched. Opportunities
for growth occur within small groups as we encourage each other to minister within the group and to the wider
community.
For further information about any of these groups mentioned below contact David Smith on 0417 136 416. Or if
you would like to join a Small Group please speak to one of the leaders at HOTRock.
